Guests are invited to watch the sunrise.

Night tours—and especially daytime ones—are familiar to many tourists. In Lida, they decided to try something new, and it turned out to be quite a success. Guests are invited to watch the sunrise at the castle and immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the Middle Ages as the first timid rays of the morning sun break through.

This is precisely the format of the new interactive tour “With the First Roosters,” which was launched at the Lida Museum of History and Art, writes tochka.by.

The program lasts an hour and a half. During this time, guests will learn about the history of the fortress, its legends, and the figures associated with it.

The new format includes a dawn tour of Prince Gediminas’s castle and its towers, as well as an interactive performance titled “The Wedding of Prince Jogaila and Sophia Golshanskaya.”

In addition, guests will participate in workshops on medieval games and dances.

“The highlight of this tour is that guests get to see the castle come to life and watch the sun rise over it,” — said Anna Nekrashevich , head of the “Lida Castle” branch of the Lida Museum of History and Art .

Staff members at this institution were the first to take the initiative to organize programs at dawn.

In addition to immersing themselves in the atmosphere of the Middle Ages, during such an early morning stroll through the castle’s galleries, visitors can also see the modern beauty of one of Belarus’s oldest cities.

The “With the First Roosters” tour is particularly popular among foreign tourists, as noted on television. But Belarusians, even those who have already visited Lida Castle, are also interested in trying out this new format.
