In Russia, People Were Urged To Report Those With Accents

The governor of the Oryol Region put forward this initiative.

The head of the Oryol Region of the Russian Federation Andrey Klychkov published a list of things residents of the region should be aware of. The list begins with “suspicious individuals who seem unfamiliar with the area and have a foreign accent.”

The official also listed suspicious items, including unmanned aerial vehicles, hiding places with property, camouflaged video surveillance and radio communication devices, as well as parking spots with food scraps and foreign-made packaging.

The governor warned of the danger of sabotage and urged residents to immediately report any suspicions to the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The Oryol Region regularly appears in the Ministry of Defense’s reports on intercepted drones. A strike on Oryol in mid-June resulted in one death and nine injuries.
