A number of Belarusian banks are adjusting their money transfer terms for their customers. We’ll explain what has changed and what else is set to change in the near future, according to "Zerkalo".
Starting August 13, Sber Bank launched money transfers via phone number from Russia’s Sberbank in Russian rubles.
Starting September 1, “BNB-Bank” is revising its fees for domestic transfers in U.S. dollars, euros, Russian rubles, and Chinese yuan for customers of the “Bezgranichny” package.
Starting September 1, Belagroprombank will charge 5 rubles for accepting and converting cash Belarusian rubles for transfers made without opening an account via the ERIP system—the fee will apply to each individual payment.
"Technobank" is implementing several changes at once. Starting September 17, the terms for transfers in euros will be adjusted: a fee set in a foreign currency may be debited in Belarusian rubles at the National Bank’s exchange rate on the date of payment, and transfers by individuals outside the bank in euros will cost 30 euros plus 1% of the amount.
Even earlier, starting August 7, the bank introduced a 15% fee for individuals depositing Russian rubles in cash into a checking account at the teller window. An exception is made for cases where funds are deposited for the purpose of opening a Russian ruble deposit account on the same day.
Starting September 1, the fee for non-cash deposits into individuals’ accounts in Belarusian rubles will also change—it will amount to 0.9% of the amount (at least one ruble and no more than 40 rubles). However, this fee will not apply to funds credited as part of the “Mily Dom” loan product.
In addition, as of August 10, “Technobank” has set a fee for transfers in U.S. dollars—$30 plus 1% of the transfer amount.
