300 employees were evacuated from the building.

On Sunday morning, August 23, things were turbulent in Orenburg—at least one attack on an Ozon warehouse was reported there.

According to local authorities, the Ozon logistics complex was damaged as a result of a drone strike: debris from the drones fell onto the facility’s grounds, causing a fire. Thick smoke rose above the building, which was captured on video by eyewitnesses.

More than 300 employees were evacuated from the logistics center following the attack. According to preliminary reports, a large-scale fire on the complex’s grounds was successfully prevented.

In light of the incident, Ozon has temporarily suspended the acceptance of new shipments to its warehouse in Orenburg, and products already at the logistics center have been temporarily removed from the marketplace’s listings.

As a reminder, Ozon is one of Russia’s largest marketplaces, second in size only to Wildberries. The company’s logistics centers and warehouses have become targets of Ukrainian strikes due to their importance to the Russian economy and their role in the supply of dual-use goods.
