Lukashenko’s “Right-Hand Man” Built A Strange Temple In Belovezhskaya Pushcha

No parish is officially registered at this address.

A building that the developer calls a church has been constructed in Belovezhskaya Pushcha, with a restaurant next to it. However, no parish is officially registered at this address. Local residents call the structure “Zaitsev’s church”—in honor of the pro-government businessman and Lukashenko’s “money man” Alexander Zaitsev, writes “Khrystianskaya Vizya”.

The building is located in the small village of Kivachina in Belovezhskaya Pushcha, not far from the border with Poland, at 23a Kivachina. There are two buildings on a single plot of land.

As “Khrystianskaya Viziya” discovered with the help of “Cyberpartizan,” the plot is designated for “cultural, educational, and entertainment facilities” and is owned by OJSC “Pruzhany Dairy Plant.”

Construction began in 2024 and was completed in August 2025. However, a year later, there is still no information in open sources at this address regarding either a cultural facility or a registered religious institution.

Photos and videos from the construction site were found on social media. They show that the building’s architecture is designed to accommodate a cross. The developer—a construction company from Minsk—referred to the facility in its descriptions as a “temple,” “religious institution,” “space for prayer,” “place with deep meaning,” and “unique church.”

It is noted that the project is quite expensive and atypical for Belarusian reality. The interior features natural wood; the roof is made of “dragon’s tooth”-style wooden shingles, and the walls consist of a double layer of larch shingles.

In one of the videos, the developer also showed a second building located nearby and stated that it is intended to be a restaurant.

At the same time, “Christian Vision” found no registered parish at 23a Kivachyna Street—neither Orthodox, nor Catholic, nor of any other denomination. According to the publication, the building is still surrounded by a construction fence, and a cross has yet to appear on it.
