Zelenskyy revealed details of the plan.
Ukraine and its international partners have developed three key proposals for ending the war with Russia, which have already been agreed upon with the U.S. and European sides.
This was stated Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a meeting with journalists.
According to the Ukrainian head of state, during negotiations with U.S. Special Envoy Steve Whitcoff and U.S. President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, they reached an agreement and compiled a discussion paper outlining realistic scenarios for ending hostilities.
The Americans plan to discuss this document with both Ukraine and the Russian Federation.
There are currently three key points on the agenda:
- A ceasefire—this is the main and top priority in the draft document.
- The creation of a free economic zone—a U.S. initiative calling for a mirror withdrawal of forces. Ukraine and Russia must take equal steps back, creating a buffer zone under third-party control.
= Guarantees from the EU and NATO—a clear definition of the actions to be taken by the European Union and the Alliance, as well as the steps Ukraine is prepared to take to achieve this.
“Everyone is reacting positively to what has been proposed; no one has any objections. This is what is on the table today,” emphasized Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The President of Ukraine added that the ideas presented are not exclusively Ukrainian. This is a joint plan with partners from the U.S. and Europe, finalized following discussions between the U.S. side and Kyiv and Moscow.
In addition, according to Zelenskyy, the U.S. has several more ideas that it plans to share in the near future.
