This partnership consists of three main parts.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gar Støre signed a joint declaration in Kyiv on a strategic partnership, particularly in the fields of defense and energy.

This was reported by the Norwegian government’s press service, as reported by “European Truth”.

As the Norwegian prime minister emphasized, the goal of the strategic partnership is to strengthen the defense capabilities and resilience of both Ukraine and Norway.

“This partnership consists of three main components: defense, energy, and resilience. In all these areas, Ukraine has significant experience that is of great value to Norway. At the same time, we can share expertise that will be useful to Ukraine,” Støre explained.

As noted by the government, cooperation in the energy sector will continue to involve Norway providing support for the protection of Ukraine’s critical energy infrastructure. Oslo will continue to assist in the restoration and modernization of damaged energy infrastructure, as well as in reducing the vulnerability of Ukraine’s energy supply.

In addition to the declaration on strategic partnership, the countries signed a so-called “drone deal”. This agreement will ensure even closer cooperation between the Ukrainian and Norwegian defense sectors and industries.

“The agreement will help boost the exchange of technology and expertise. It will also enable the development of joint efforts, particularly in the areas of air defense and drone technology,” noted the Prime Minister of Norway.

The “Drone Deal” is a model for long-term defense cooperation between Ukraine and its partner countries. The goal is to leverage Ukraine’s wartime experience, expertise, and technologies to develop solutions that strengthen the countries’ collective security.
