Two Russian Regions Will Soon Come Under Fire From The Ukrainian Armed Forces

An expert explained what will be the next target of Ukrainian strikes.
In one or two months, Russia’s Rostov Region and Krasnodar Krai will come under the same intense fire control as Crimea is currently experiencing. This was stated on the air by Radio NV, Yevgeny Dikiy, a veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war, former company commander of the “Aidar” battalion, and director of the National Antarctic Scientific Center, made this statement.
Responding to a question about whether it is reasonable to assume that fire control over enemy territory using drones could gradually expand, he noted that there is even special terminology for this.
“In Russian-language sources, this is called ‘opening up the sky.’ It is the first stage before establishing fire control. That is, first the ‘sky is opened up’—meaning air defense systems are systematically taken out of action—until the point where the air defense is either completely destroyed, though that rarely happens… The main thing is that the air defense system be neutralized to such an extent that it is no longer capable of effectively repelling large waves of incoming targets,” said Dikiy.
Yes, the expert says, the first stage is the suppression of enemy air defense, and the second is taking control of the airspace over a specific territory and bringing it under fire control.
“The Azov region, the area along the so-called ‘Novorossiya’ route, is already under our absolute fire control. Crimea is practically… And now next in line are: the Krasnodar Krai, the former—and perhaps someday future—Ukrainian Kuban, neighboring Adygea, and the Rostov Oblast, which borders our occupied territories. Layer by layer, a zone of fire control is gradually being established,” Dikiy noted.
He added that “we can bet on how long it will take for the Rostov Region and the Krasnodar Krai to come under the same tight fire control as Crimea is now.”
“My bet is one to two months. Give or take,” the expert said.
